Saturday 30th March 15:00 - 17:00

You are warmly invited to our played out all-action account of the Easter Story. Careful though, there's a twist! We will tell the story out of sequence, and at the end of it, those doing the trail will need to identify and put it in the correct order. This is fun for all the family.

At the start each child will be given a Story Trail Map to find their way to each of six locations around our building, where a part of the story will be told. Then a picture and a phrase will be given out on a piece of paper. At the end, the children will need to stick the six pieces in the right order on the Story Trail Map to make a poster.

Then at the end of the Story Trail the children can claim an Easter egg prize and everyone will be able to have a drink and a hot cross bun / cake. What's not to like!?

Sign up today!

We are spreading visitors out between 3:00pm and 4:30pm so that the groups going to each location in the building will not be too large. It doesn't matter too much if you come a bit earlier or later than the time you give below, but the time you choose does help us to know who is coming and plan to have enough refreshments and Easter Eggs available!

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

When and Where

We meet at the Church Building (details here) for our Sunday Service starting at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 20-25 minutes early to get a parking spot in the public car park that is behind the church, to the rear of the main bus stop. Sorry, we are a town centre church and there is no parking available on the site. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome lanyard.

Accessibility:

There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets at the rear of the church and also in the Front Room café.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10:30am with a warm welcome from one of our team members. Then follows a time of sung worship, we share news and notices, usually about what’s going on in the life of the church, one of our leaders will give a sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We often finish with the children and youth joining us and sharing what they have been getting up to. There is always an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service. We serve tea, coffee and biscuits after the service ends. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

What about children and youth?

We have a great programme lined up for children and youth, called ShineShine is a central part of our Children, Youth and Families Team activity. It's a great way for families to start Sundays! All children and young people are welcome, and parents and carers can stay as well (in fact you are encouraged to!) A Welcome Team member will be very happy to direct you to the leaders relevant to the age(s) in question.
